La James College - An International Beauty Academy in Iowa
Here at the original La James College in Mason City, Iowa, we have the ability to accept and train international students. Once a student has decided to come to our USA beauty academy from another country, they need to apply to the college and submit their application for consideration along with all the documentation required (click here to apply now). All requirements for our beauty school in the USA are written on the application. Once accepted to La James, the college will provide an I 20 form from the US State Department. This form is required in order to obtain a student travel visa from your country.

Convenient location.
La James College is located in the heart of downtown Mason City. We are within easy walking distance of the main post office, a modern downtown mall, movie theatres/cinemas, the public library, multiple banks, a grocery store or supermarket, seasonal farm produce markets, various churches, temples, and many other fun social attractions. There is a city-wide public transportation bus system, called Mason City Transit. The Mason City Airport has both regional airport and international airport connections.
If you are without a car while attending college, you will still have easy access to everything which you will need. We are delighted to help our long distance students obtain housing. Different forms of housing are available. Modern, spacious dormitory apartments are available connected to the college and near the college. If more privacy is needed, rental apartment facilities are also close to the college. Just ask for help. We will be there for you.

It is a common practice by most universities to charge extra for out-of-state citizens, residents and foreign students. We believe in equality in education. Unlike other beauty schools in the USA, our tuition is the same for every student regardless of origin. This allows you, our international students, the best opportunities from our college at the same exact costs as our local students.
